Executive Director
The Bosniak American Advisory Council for Bosnia and Herzegovina (BAACBH), located in Washington, D.C., is seeking a full-time Executive Director. The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily operation of this non-profit organization and focus on advocacy, fundraising, and working on coalition-building activities. Activities include interacting with policy and opinion makers; preparing position papers and comments; representing BAACBH at events and conferences; and developing and implementing strategies to achieve organization’s objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS
• B.A. in International Relations or related field
• Fluency in Bosnian and English languages required
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong time management skills - ability to meet deadlines, manage
multiple projects simultaneously
• Familiarity with MS Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
• Solid knowledge of legislative process and U.S. foreign policy in
Bosnia-Herzegovina
• Prior experience with non-profit organizations preferred
• Prior experience on Capitol Hill preferred
